Royal Regiment – Flute Section Leader

 

I have been a proud member of Rancho Bernardo High School’s award-winning marching band, the Royal Regiment, since 9th grade. In senior year, I serve as the flute section leader, helping guide and support my peers.Our band rehearsed twice a week in the evenings, and during marching season, we had full-day competitions every Saturday. The physical and mental demands were intense — but through the exhaustion came deep friendships, unforgettable performances, and some of the most meaningful moments of my high school experience.Our Royal Regiment consistently earned top honors at the Southern California Band and Orchestra Association (SCBOA) championships every year, and I am grateful to have been part of that legacy. Marching band challenged me, inspired me, and gave me a true sense of belonging through music.
